After having passed both, the written and the oral in geography, I now have to take the oral exam in "English".
The examination fields are English linguistics and English/American literature.
Well, I think the linguistics part won't be a problem, but I'm really scared of what might expect me in the literary part. The thing is that it's really difficult to prepare yourself for a literary topic. Especially with novels, there are so many different details which you have to pay attention to. And then there could be always questions on the time in which those novels were written. So if you do your preparation on the literary topics thoroughly, it will take ages for you to finish...
So I decided to go for a pragmatic approach and do the basic stuff I have to know wbout the different topics instead of going too much into detail. Afterall, it's only half an hour for the literary exam part.
That also means that I will be very busy during the next three weeks. Wish me luck and lets hope that it will be a good exam.
